Pickerel Bay Cabins has a fleet of 14 boats, all 16 ft deep-v aluminum. They are equipped with reliable 15 hp and 25 hp motors, rubber nets, life jackets, seats and emergency oars. Our boats are also outfitted with depth finders and transom mounted electric trolling motors.
For the late season Lake Trout angler we outfit our boats with hand crank Canon downriggers plus downrigger rods and reels with 30 lb test line. For the novice user we will teach you the proper use of these valuable deep water angling tools. During summer's warm temps, Lake Trout go deep. Therefore these downriggers are most important to catch the big ones in Hunter Bay.
Each boat will have only 3 adults. Our anglers are allowed to fish on Lac La Ronge at any time of day or night.
