| Pickerel Bay Cabins and Lodge accommodations are situated on a boreal peninsula. Our semi-modern cabin's are built with native logs from the surrounding area, creating a pastoral kinship with the land. We have 12 cabins situated throughout the grounds allowing for privacy and comfort. For those who prefer to cook for themselves we have light housekeeping cabins equipped with a kitchen area with all the cutlery, china, propane ovens, cooktops and outdoor BBQ's. All of the units have refrigerators, wood heat stoves, electricity, fresh linens and all bedding needs. Various cabin sizes permit us to suit the single guest, couples, families, and large groups. Hot water facilities, showers, outhouses are all centrally located and private.
The Main Lodge is also built of native logs and is very comfortable, serving family style dining. This feature that we have is that a guest can talk and share ideas with other guests and make new lifetime friendships. Our lodge is open 24/7. Complimentary coffee, soft drinks, and desserts are available to all of our guests.
For guests who need to keep in touch, the Lodge features Satellite TV and high-speed Internet service: complimentary of course, just bring your own lap-top.
The dining in the main Lodge is legendary among our guests and visitors. Breakfast is at 7:30am. *Lunch is to go and plenty of it. Supper is at 6pm consisting of fresh, creative, and scrumptious culinary favorites. Home made breads, pastries and desserts that are prepared daily by our master baker Marisa. No-one leaves the table hungry.
 *A new feature for lunch is that all lunches are prepared to take out or ask for a shore lunch kit and enjoy cooking a fresh walleye on one of the many islands. This gives the angler freedom to explore the Lake and fish longer. Weather is dependant however. If the weather looks bad, we will grill at camp... it's all about our guests, safety and enjoyment.
So when you are trying to decide what to do about your meals when you are up there.... Remember that we offer two package plans, when making your reservation.  1) American Plan-in which we provide our down home country style cooking in our Main lodge. Three meals a day. Everything is from scratch.... from pies, pasta, breads, cakes, buns, dinner rolls, pizza, cookies etc. The American plan has been very popular in the last ten years, as our dining is fantastic! We have set menus each day........ Now, fish fry's are a must with us, as our specialty is walleye fresh out of the lake! Chef John will also treat you to lake trout accompanied by a rib eye steak, that will have you talking about it for a long time.
2) LHK/rate plan-is where you cook for yourselves in your own cabin, and have a BBQ outside your cabin, and you do your own thing..... without us "ringing the dinner bell".... but please come into the lodge after a long day of fishing, and enjoy the pastries, coffee..... and the warmth from the the tremendous wood stove.. always a welcoming place to come in the entry of the Lodge 24 hours a day.... to warm up to and share the days events with the guests and staff.
In the Main Lodge.... Satellite TV is always tuned into the current SPORTS events: Stanley Cup-Hockey is a must in May/June.... World Cup Soccer.... Baseball, Football, Basketball, Golf, World News ...we have it all covered.
You will never miss your favourite event. You are in control of the TV remote!
   OR... take yourself out on the front porch over-looking Pickerel Bay and relax. This is where guests gather and get to talk the fish talk of the day and share some good hardy laughs, tales, pictures and fun.
