Lake Trout

Lake trout (Salvelinus namaycush) is a freshwater char living mainly in lakes in northern North America.
Lake trout are the largest of the charrs, the record at Pickerel Bay is 25.40 kg (56 lbs). Lake trout are prized both as game fish and as food fish.

Walleye

The walleye (Sander vitreus) is often considered to have the best tasting flesh of any freshwater fish.
Because of its nocturnal feeding habits, it is most easily caught at night using plastic minnows or lures that mimic small fish.

Boat in or Fly in

Pickerel Bay is accessible only by boat or float plane.

Primary travel across La La Ronge is by boat, or you could experience the North American adventure by arriving at Pickerel Bay via float plane.

Our aluminum boats are equipped with dependable Yamaha & Evinrude motors so your fishing trip will be trouble free.

The Lodge

The main lodge, where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served and socializing is done in the evenings, is complete with satellite TV and DVD, dart board, maps & literature, and plenty of tables and chairs for your favorite card game or swapping fishing stories.
